Aphotic Segment is a monthly event, which seeks to explore the infinite possibilities in musical programming. Too often sound is presented myopically, in a context that focuses on a particular scene or style. Our mission is to break down these fashionable constructs and reassemble them in ways that encourage creative imagination in diverse musical programming.
After a nearly two-year hiatus, Aphotic Segment is proud to announce the re-launch of its monthly event. The musical program carries on in tradition of past events, but on a new monthly night (every last Friday of the month) and at a new home in the heart of Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood.
